Nightly Homework PolicyYour child will be bringing home a reading sheet every night that should take about 10 minutes to complete. It is a sheet of phrases, sentences and/or activities. Please work with your child to complete the page and return it daily in the bright yellow homework folder. By keeping the homework short, it is my hope is that families will have more quality interaction time to enjoy being together. There will be an optional spelling activities page each Monday. Spelling tests are given every Friday (Thursday on weeks when we are not in school on Friday).
Book Orders I have used Scholastic Bookclub for many years and have found them to be good quality items at a reasonable price. I will be sending Bookclub order forms home several times during the school year. I usually send 2 or 3 catalog options at one time. If you want to order from all of them, you DO NOT have to write 3 checks. You can write a single check to Scholastic Bookclub for the total amount. You can also order books online and use your credit card. Remind 101 I will be using the Remind 101 app this year. You can get reminder texts from me for things like field trips, library day, special days, 1/2 days, and upcoming events. You can join my group by using your smartphone and going to the following link: rmd.at/h74f2c. Follow the directions and you will be prompted to download the mobile app. If you don't have a smart phone, you can get text messages by texting the message @h74f2c to the number 81010. Let me know if you can not join my group. |
